Located adjacent to the historic Gaslamp Quarter, the Ballpark District will be home to a new 42,000-seat, urban, open-air stadium for the San Diego Padres. PETCO Park has taken advantage of its San Diego location utilizing Southern California architecture styles to create a vibrant, year-round, family-sports and entertainment oriented destination.

The integrated, 2.7 acre Park at the Park, located beyond the walls of center field, allow fans open access to dine indoors or out at any number of planned restaurants and cafes. The Park, open to the public on non-game days, is designed to function as a gathering place for office workers, local residents and visitors enjoying the unique flavor of the Ballpark District.

The office, residential, retail and hotel developments while complementing PETCO Park, respond to the demand for centrally-located class A office space, urban residential development and lodging for the growing convention and tourist industry.

The Ballpark District-comprised of 26 blocks of prime urban redevelopment is located in a underutilized warehouse district. It is the first of its kind in the United States, with more than an estimated 1 billion dollars planned in private office, retail, hotel and residential development. With the newly expanded and renovated convention center, several trolley stops and proposed access to the commuter "Coaster" train; this is an ideal location for workers, fans and residents.
